CLOSED TEMPORARILY: Backstreet Memphis

Other than some crowds sometimes, this bar is a DUMP! with bad carpeting, bad restrooms, staff was not friendly. Other bars are in town are so much better.

I don't know why this is popular. The staff are jerks, the bartenders not that cute and the music is bad. If you like a joint with smart ass Latinos and trashy toothless gay men and lots of fat fag hags then this is your kind of bar.

In town for Kathy Griffin show at the Orpheum (great!) and a night out of dancing with my partner. Paid $15 each for torn carpet, overflowing bathrooms, soiled furniture, dated decor, no alcohol, tired music, lots of rude fat girls and the smell was disgusting. This place should be tourched and the owner(s)locked up. The coliseum in in Las Vegas, this is an aluminum barn! Very sad...you guys deserve a lot more. Stop paying to party in flith!

If you like dancing with the cute boys in Memphis, this is the place for you. Do yourself a favor. Arrive here during Saturday midnight. The drag shows start about that time. U can take a drink or two. The dance floor lights up around 12:30 or 12:45 and its packed till 3:30 AM. DJ is good here. Saturday is the best day to come here. Nothing much here on Fridays. Even the drag shows are better on Saturday.
