We are all so different in the gay community. It's certainly hard as hell to round us all up under one idea or voice. Even though all of our voices are different this is the time to speak. Speak loud and proud of your love and your life. We cannot wait anymore for politics to catch up to the way we are already living our lives. It is time to act. I urge you to catch my fever and pass YOUR story on to other friends and family members.

I urge you to catch my fever and pass YOUR story on to other friends and family members.
I can only speak for myself, but I will no longer fight quietly, waiting longer and longer for tolerance to arrive in my city. I demand acceptance from our government. I demand my rights as a hard-working, tax-paying citizen of Memphis. I am Memphis. WE are Memphis.
Use this facebook initiative to pass positive ideas back and forth and let's do something to change this city. Let's demand the rights that are our rights as human beings.
Things to keep in mind concerning the march:
3:30pm - begin arriving and passing out signs and info.
4:30pm - the march begins, heading toward the city council building
5:00pm - the group demonstrating should begin arriving in front of the city council building
5:30pm - small rally in support of this march/cause
- This is a peaceful demonstration
- ALL are welcome, so please behave as you would at work
- There will most likely be opposing voices around the march, please remain silent and excuse yourself from any negative situation that may arise. Being civil will reflect brilliantly on our cause.
- Once the march begins, signs can be held, and heads held high, but please remain silent until we reach the city council building. The large masses of silent men and women marching alongside one another (in their work attire*) will echo throughout the downtown business district.
- We deserve these rights. Remain positive and pleasant, but do not accept anything but the rights we deserve as people. The right to work as who we are.
