We are proud to celebrate our 15th year of bringing outstanding LGBTQ films to the Mid-South!
Founded in 1997 by filmmaker Brian Pera, the festival was originally called The Twinkie Museum Experimental Video Festival, named for the infamous “Twinkie defense” employed by the assassin of Harvey Milk. It ran over a weekend in March and was held at an auditorium at the University of Memphis. Since then, the festival has steadily grown, and has been held at various locations including Malco Studio on the Square, First Congo Church, and the Muvico Theater in Peabody Place. In 2002, the name of the festival was changed to Outflix and in 2008 the festival found its current home at Malco Ridgeway Four.
See the 2012 schedule, watch trailers and purchase tickets at www.outflixfestival.org.
PLEASE NOTE: Our theater at Ridgeway Four has been remodeled with stadium seating! Unfortunately this means fewer available seats. Some films WILL sell out. To ensure that you have a seat, even festival pass holders must have a physical ticket. Be sure to get to the theatre 15-20 minutes early to ensure a seat.
