Grandpa Elliott, legendary street musician from New Orleans, sings alongside Clarence Bekker (Netherlands), Titi Tsira (South Africa), Tal Ben Ari βTulaβ (Israel), Jason Tamba (Congo), and Mermans Mosengo (Congo). The rhythm section features Vasti Jackson (USA) on lead guitar, Juan Carlos Portillo (Venezuela) on the bass, Peter Bunetta (USA) on drums, Keiko Komaki (Japan) on keyboards.
The Playing For Change Band has collaborated with artists such as Toots & the Maytals, Ziggy Marley, Jackson Browne, Jimmy Buffett, Babaa Maal, and Tinariwen. The band has been featured on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno and has played for audiences of over 30,000 people in Brazil. After extended world tours in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013, the Playing For Change Band is back on stage for a world tour in 2014 with shows throughout the United States, Europe, Latin America, and Australia.
