Marriage Lawsuit Debriefing for US Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit

TEP is pleased to welcome Maureen Holland, Attorney at Law, at our next monthly meeting of the Shelby County Committee. Holland will share her experience of the oral arguments made before the US Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit on August 6 on marriage cases from Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, and Michigan. Holland is one of several TN attorneys working with the National Center for Lesbian Rights to represent co-plaintiffs in our state's marriage lawsuit. She works closely with the Memphis couple recruited by TEP to participate in this lawsuit: Ijpe DeKoe and Thom Kostura. Don't miss this important debriefing as we wait for the appeals court decision.
